Why I wrote this book. Perché ho scritto questo libro

Lory asked me why I wrote this book and now I have decided to explain my little secret. 

In 2004, my husband took me home "Grace" and I was particularly struck by the voice of Jeff singing "Corpus Christi Carol" by Benjamin Britten. I had already heard Tim Buckley, Elliot Smith and many other musicians of extraordinary and original creativity but Jeff hit me for his voice and for the beauty of his face so beautiful and sad at the same time. So I started to to read his interviews to see who Jeff Buckley was, what was the origin of poetry that sprang from his voice and his eyes. 

In interviews Jeff revealed to me his intelligence and originality. He was a very talented young man who loved his country and demonstrated a culture and a not common depth of thought. His person fascinated me more and more and I decided to buy all his records, I read the verses of his songs, biographies, and all that at that time had been written about him. 

After a few time happens to me that at night, while the house was quiet, I began to write as if Jeff were speaking from the other dimension ... I often cry when writing. Sometimes my husband woke up and since it was very late in the night he asked me what I was doing ...

I am a teacher and I took a degree in Italian language and literature at the University of Venice with a thesis on American author F. Scott Fitzgerald and his wife Zelda and usually I work in the course of a day, more often I write some short poems, but this was the first time that I used to write short stories. I hope you like my book when you read it.

Lory mi ha chiesto perché ho ​​scritto questo libro e ora ho deciso di spiegare il mio piccolo segreto.  

Nel 2004, mio marito mi ha portato a casa "Grace" e sono rimasta particolarmente colpita dalla voce di Jeff che canta "Corpus Christi Carol" di Benjamin Britten. Avevo già sentito parlare di Tim Buckley, Elliot Smith e molti altri musicisti di straordinaria e originale creatività ma Jeff mi ha colpito per la sua voce e per la bellezza del suo volto così bello e triste allo stesso tempo. Così ho iniziato a leggere le sue interviste per capire chi fosse Jeff Buckley, quale fosse l'origine della poesia che scaturiva dalla sua voce e dai suoi occhi.  

Nelle interviste Jeff mi ha rivelato la sua intelligenza e originalità. Era un giovane di grande talento che amava il suo paese e ha dimostrato una cultura e una profondità non comune di pensiero. La sua persona mi ha affascinato sempre più e ho deciso di acquistare tutti i suoi dischi, ho letto i versi delle sue canzoni, biografie, e tutto ciò che in quel momento era stato scritto su di lui.  

Dopo qualche tempo di notte, mentre la casa era silenziosa, ho iniziato a scrivere come se Jeff parlasse in prima persona dall'altra dimensione ... piangevo talvolta durante la scrittura. A volte mio marito si svegliava e giacché era molto tardi nella notte, mi chiedeva che cosa stessi facendo... 

Sono un’insegnante e ho conseguito la Laurea in Lingua e Letteratura italiana presso l'Università di Venezia con una tesi sullo scrittore americano Francis Scott Fitzgerald e sua moglie Zelda e di solito io lavoro nel corso del giorno, più spesso scrivo alcune brevi poesie, ma quella era la prima volta che mi capitava di scrivere racconti. Spero che vi piaccia il mio libro quando lo leggerete.
